Hi Jessica,

Nice to hear from you. To answer your question as to why I sent you a friend request, it was because I saw your profile and noticed we have a lot of similar interests. I, too, am an author and songwriter as well as having a degree in acting (though I never seriously pursued acting professionally). Additionally, I have worked in Hollywood since the 90's as a TV writer/producer, and most recently as a director. So it just seemed like we might have a lot in common and I'm always interested in connecting with people that are "fellow travellers" in the entertainment biz.

Hi Jessica,

Not stupid at all (at least on your part).

First of all, you have to get with it, gal. "Posting" and "Publishing" are so June. In the new social networking friendlier gather we "share."

Go to "My Gather," put the cursor over "Explore" and click on "share." On the next page, click on "Share a Post," — then bookmark that page so you'll never have to go through that again.

It's taking a while for everyone to adjust to the new gather navigation. You might check out my article: Writers and readers to the rescue on Gather

It's not so bad once you get used to it.

Jessica, I emailed you some info on posting to Humor Monday.

The emailer made funny squiggles (that's a technical term) as it was being sent. So let me know if you don't get it.

I noticed your Hollywood bowl article Hollywood bowl in the Californians on Gather. As I mostly write humor (and just retired as Gather's Member Editor for Humor Monday — where incidentally articles like that should be posted) I am always interested in connecting with people who have a funny streak.
